  • Oil and gas is fluid ore with major feature of migration. Tectonic activity is closely related with hydrocarbon migration. Stress field is the power of structural deformation and movement, which causes the change of geologic environment, trap conditions and stress state. Basin subsidence, uplift, fracture are geologic trace formed by stress state with different characters. In general, the low stress area surrounded by high stress one is a favor reservoir for oil and gas migration and accumulation. The direction of maximum principal compressive stress is accordance with the direction of oil-gas migration.
