  • In recent years, with the gradual expansion of human engineering activities to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its periphery, large-scale landslide disasters in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau have become more and more frequent, posing a serious threat to the construction of major projects and the safety of people's lives and property. Based on the analysis of the tectonic activity characteristics of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its control effect on large-scale landslides, this paper reveals the intrinsic relationship and correlation between tectonic activities and large-scale landslides in terms of spatial, temporal and genetic mechanisms, and discusses the impact of large-scale landslides on the planning and construction of slope engineering. The results show that the distribution of active tectonics and large-scale landslides on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is obviously consistent, and the tectonic activities and large-scale landslides have significant synchronization in time, and the tectonic activities provide tectonic topographic and geomorphological boundary conditions, material basis, dynamic conditions and inducing factors for the occurrence of large-scale landslides, respectively. On this basis, this paper puts forward the problems and suggestions in the planning and construction of the slope project on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which provides a scientific basis for the engineering construction and disaster prevention and control in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
